2016 Year In Review!

2016

2016 has come to a close and we are in the beginning of 2017, but before we say goodbye to 2016 we wanted to catch you up on all the things we did last year!

We had our 3rd anniversary!

Administration and Accreditations:
We signed up 136 new members
We have 10 VBE’s
3 New: Caryn, Amy and Melita!
We added Rachel P from NYC
We also have 10 CSVs
We also bid a fond farewell to our VBEs Anne and Rachel S, they will be missed.

We also have New Board Members!
New President: Caryn
VP Administration: Haley
VP Education: Amy
VP Library Services (Returning): Mich

Membership and Meetings:
We had over 65 Meetings and Events — We added 2 new pop up locations, hosted carrier clinics, filled a booth at The Big Latch On, planned tons of events for IBW, hosted a MNO, and had a day at the stadium!
We had a record 563 Adult Meeting Attendees at just the 4 main library locations!

Lending Library:
In 2016 we had over 430 checkouts!
We have 142 items in our Lending Library — 52 items added this year (purchased and donated by companies and people) including 5 Asian style carrier, 4 ring slings, 5 twin carriers, 20 buckle carriers, and 5 cold weather items.

Goals for 2017:
We are not slowing down! We will continue training new educators and continue education for current VBEs. We will increase our geographical reach by introducing new meeting locations. We are dedicated to continue to grow our lending and learning libraries and changing to a new org-wide library system. We will improve our social media presence with an updated blog/website and new public FB page.

Hang onto the best seat in the house because 2017 is going to be awesome!
